Have you attended this training yet? If not – you should! This presentation is designed to provide awareness and to introduce possible response options for those who encounter workplace violence and/or an active shooter incident. The presentation will cover a brief history of these types of incidents, pre-assault indicators and how police responses have adapted over the years.
Workplace violence or an active shooter scenario is something most of us do not like to think or talk about. Violence occurring in the workplace is a frightening scenario that we wish would never happened. However, it’s important that employees are aware and prepared to keep themselves and their coworkers safe. Having a plan and knowing how to implement it will increase the chance of safety in the event of an active shooter situation.
About the Trainer
Sergeant Ryan Opeka has been a Police Officer for 14 years. He is currently the Crimes of Violence Unit Supervisor and an Active Shooter Instructor.
