The Booster Club is happy to present the return of the Peer Awards, now called the Peer Recognition Awards. We are looking for outstanding individuals and a department / division who consistently demonstrates the City’s mission and vision through character, innovation, stewardship, excellence, empowerment, and communication.
Do you know a co-worker who is committed to providing top-notch service? Have you had experience with a department or division, who worked together as a team, to accomplish a set goal, and did so in an engaging manner? Why not recognize them by nominating them for a PRA?
The online nomination system is open now through August 31. Winners will be chosen by a selection committee. PRA recipients will be announced in mid-October and will consist of six to eight individual winners and a department / division winner. Individual winners will receive a fabulous plaque award and a fun, exciting gift card. Department / division winner will receive a plaque award dedicated to their team and a catered lunch.
Who is eligible? Any City of Carlsbad full or part-time employee, or department/division with the following exceptions:
No self-nominations.
No anonymous nominations.
Although very valuable to us, employees who are employed by a temporary employment agency or through a consultant contract are not eligible to nominate or be nominated.
Departments that have an existing award program and all Sworn Personnel, such as Police and Fire, may not be nominated, but may nominate other employees, departments, or divisions outside of their areas for this program. Non-sworn personnel, full and part-time, are eligible to nominate and be nominated.
