Labor Day City Service Schedule

In observance of Labor Day, city offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3. A full holiday schedule for city services is listed below.

Know Your Options: Don't Drink and Drive This Holiday Weekend

The City of Carlsbad Police Department is urging drivers to consider their options when enjoying the holiday weekend: 1) An ambulance could take you to the hospital; 2) A police car could take you to jail; or 3) A sober driver can get you home safely. Follow along with two of our DUI enforcement officers as they explain these options and encourage ride sharing for a safe and legal night out.

"Night at the Library" Gala, 9/15

Live Broadway entertainment will be a highlight of Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation's third annual "Night at the Library" Gala Saturday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane. The event will feature an evening of Broadway show tunes by acclaimed performer Jeri Sager and a full course dinner within the Carlsbad City Library.


Family Movie Night Under the Stars 9/8

Enjoy movie-themed games and activities plus a free showing of Despicable Me 3 (rated PG) at the City of Carlsbad's annual Family Movie Night Saturday, Sept. 8, at Stagecoach Community Park at 3420 Camino de los Coches in Carlsbad.

Free Composting Workshop, 9/15

The City of Carlsbad has partnered with reEarth to host a series of high-quality, hands-on composting workshops that are FREE to Carlsbad residents.
