Homelessness Response Plan Expanded
With the start of the City of Carlsbad's new fiscal year July 1, additional resources are now available to address issues related to homelessness. The City Council approved the following increases to support the city's Homeless Response Plan, which takes a compassionate enforcement approach.
Village H South Online Survey
A community meeting was held on June 29 to gather input on the future use of Village H South from community members. An online survey is now available for those who couldn’t make the meeting or just prefer to provide input online. City staff will present the options we develop with the community for the City Council’s consideration in fall 2019.
Poinsettia Coaster Station Improvements Begin
Daytime and nighttime construction activity is scheduled to take place beginning Friday, July 5, and continuing through Saturday, July 13, to accommodate ongoing platform improvements as part of the SANDAG Poinsettia Station Improvements Project in the City of Carlsbad.
Teen Talent Shows Start Next Week
Carlsbad City Library is hosting its annual Teen Talent Shows this summer at Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Participation is free and all participants earn rewards. This year the first-place winners of the shows are invited to perform during the preshow before the Aug. 16 performance at TGIF Concerts in the Parks.

Looking for a way for your child to stay active, make new friends, learn a new skill or just have a blast? Get them off their screens and signed up for summer camp. This year’s lineup includes sports, art, aquatics, specialty and science camps and other programs for kids 3 to 16.
Carlsbad Triathlon Seeking Volunteers
The City of Carlsbad is seeking volunteers to help with the upcoming Carlsbad Triathlon on July 14. Volunteer shifts and opportunities are athlete check-in, run course monitor, tear down crew and more.
