"Expressive Activities" Permit Process Public Meeting, 1/30

The City of Carlsbad would like to know what the public thinks about a proposed new permit process for groups wishing to engage in "expressive activities" on city property.

Library Bootcamp for Business

Carlsbad City Library will host its free Boot Camp for Business workshops on Feb. 12, 19 and 26. Learn how to start, build and sustain a successful business with free workshops presented by experts in marketing, management and economic development.


Volunteer on the Trails, 2/2

The Saturday volunteer trail cleanup event on Feb. 2, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Coastal Rail Trail will include trail maintenance and improvements, and litter pickup. The city will provide the work plan and safety training at the start of the event along with tools, gloves, water and snacks.


February Flashback Weekend

The City of Carlsbad is hosting a fun-filled Flashback Weekend in February at the Schulman Auditorium in the Carlsbad City Library complex, located at 1775 Dove Lane. Admission is free. Seating is first come, first served. Audiences are encouraged to "Come Together" to celebrate "Yesterday" with a "Ticket to Ride" on a journey down "Penny Lane."


Fridays Nights @ Pine for Middle Schoolers, 2/1

Pine Community Center will transform into Club Carlsbad, the new spot exclusively for middle schoolers to dance the night away with friends in a safe, supervised environment. The gym and teen center will be open for multiple levels of entertainment, such as games, music and cook offs. Students must have parent permission, follow club rules and respect staff and volunteers. Must present middle school ID to enter.
