Send a Kid to Camp, Get a Deduction
The City of Carlsbad's Parks & Recreation Department is reminding residents looking for a year-end charitable tax deduction to consider giving to the Opportunity Grants program.
Emergency Volunteer Training Offered
Carlsbad residents interested in joining the 2019 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) academy are invited to attend an information session. The CERT information session takes place on Monday, Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. held at the City of Carlsbad Safety Center, 2560 Orion St.
City Adding EV Charging Stations
The City of Carlsbad will add 20 new electric vehicle charging stations at its facilities as part of a long-term strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions citywide. Eighty percent of the cost of the new stations, which will be used for city fleet vehicles and city employees' vehicles, will be covered by Electrify America through a partnership with the city.
