Warm weather and Santa Ana winds forecasted through early next week means increased fire danger. Carlsbad public safety officials remind the public to take the following precautions. Avoid any activity that could lead to sparks near a wild land environment or open space.
5 Safety Tips for Fall
With the time change and shorter days, the City of Carlsbad Police Department reminds residents to be aware and follow these safety tips. Don't return home to a dark house. Put exterior and interior lights on timers. It's getting dark earlier, so trim bushes, trees and other landscaping to reduce hiding places and shadows, and to increase the ability to see and be seen.
