Complete Rail Closures This Weekend
All COASTER and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner services along the San Diego segment of the Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo coastal rail corridor will be suspended Jan. 12-13 due to a planned Absolute Work Window. These work windows are select weekends that allow for crews to meet significant construction milestones and work unimpeded while all rail services are halted. Regular passenger rail service will resume in time for the morning commute on Monday.
Poinsettia COASTER Station Improvements
Weekend work is scheduled to occur this weekend, Jan.12-13, to accommodate ongoing improvements as part of the San Diego Association of Governments Poinsettia Station Improvements Project in Carlsbad.
Last Weekend for Juried Biennial at Cannon Art Gallery
The City of Carlsbad's 2019 Juried Biennial is open through Jan. 13, 2019 at William D. Cannon Art Gallery, located in the Carlsbad City Library complex at 1775 Dove Lane. Admission is free.
Books & Bingo Author Event, 1/26
On Saturday, Jan. 26, Carlsbad City Library is partnering with Adventures by the Book to host Books & Bingo featuring 13 authors including keynote and opening speakers, New York Times bestselling authors Laura Kamoie and Melanie Benjamin. Admission is free, and seating is first come, first served.
