CHANGES to health protocols + employee summer BBQ update

  1. Starting Monday, Aug. 9, masks will be required for everyone entering a city facility, regardless of vaccinations status. This has been the rule for city employees, but now it also applies to members of the public.

  2. Unfortunately, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone the employee summer BBQ scheduled for Aug. 19.

  3. City Council meetings in August will be back to our virtual format, starting at 3 p.m.

These changes are in addition to other precautions already in place:

  • No indoor meetings.

  • Stay home if you have any symptoms that could be COVID-19.

  • Maintain a 6-foot distance from others.

  • No handshakes or other physical contact.

  • Wash your hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds each time.

We will continue to closely monitor local COVID-19 updates and county health guidance to determine how long these measures will be in place and whether additional changes are needed.

I understand it’s disappointing to once again change our protocols. One of many things we have become really good at during the COVID-19 pandemic is adapting to a changing environment. So, we will adapt again, and keep adapting as needed to keep ourselves and our community safe.
