Good afternoon, Team Carlsbad. Here’s a quick recap of news going on around this city this week:

Election Results

We expect the next elections results update by 5 p.m. today, Thursday, and then each business day until Nov. 16. Visit the election results page on the Registrar of Voters website for details. Swearing in has been scheduled for Dec. 11.

Engagement Survey

The 2018 employee engagement survey is now live. You should have received an email this morning with a link. You can also just click on this link to take the survey.

Red Flag Warning

Extreme heat and dryness this weekend and extending to Monday and Tuesday mean we are at a higher than normal threat of wildfires. Please avoid any activities that cause sparks and dust off your department’s emergency procedures in case we have an activation of our Emergency Operations Center.

Training, Classes and More

The latest edition of our Carlsbad Academy course catalog is now available. Pick one up at a break room near you or take a look at the online version on the intranet.
