Happy Trails to Kevin Crawford

As I wrap up my last couple of weeks as your city manager, I have had a chance to visit many of your department meetings to share some parting thoughts. I’ve been finding myself thinking back to that day in early 2016 at Zone 5 Park when I first returned as your city manager.

I was humbled by the mission that was before us – to bring a measure of stability to this organization and reconnect to the value our employees provide as public servants and as individual human beings.

Alas, I will surely not get to connect with all of you. And, I must admit, I am finding it hard to adequately express what this time has meant to me and how much I admire and respect each of you.

I’m looking forward to getting together one last time next Monday, July 23, at Leo Carrillo Ranch. Unlike that day two and a half years ago, this gathering will be a celebration -- of all we have accomplished together and the very bright future ahead.
